Moisturizing Trio

When it comes to moisturizing my body, I'm probably the most inconsistent person on this planet. I always try to incorporate in my nightly bath time ritual but, after a few days it always seem to fall short....until now. I have been absolutely obsessed with this lotion trio!! Love how this stuff keeps me moisturized without that heavy residue other lotions leave.

The Body Shop Body Butter: Love this stuff, some of the best lotion around. It honestly goes on effortlessly, not too thick, dry touch but, it keeps your skin moisturized for the entire day which is the wow factor for me. You don't have to get this Vitamin E one in particular, they are all great.

Bliss Fat Girl Sleep: Got this during a Bliss sale and I'm think this scent is heavenly. I haven't used this long enough to comment on its claim to firming but, I've read some positive reviews so I'm giving it a shot. To be honest though, the scent alone will probably keep me coming back for more. Note: only Fat Girl Sleep smells this good, the daytime stuff does not.

Bliss Foot Patrol: Another Bliss find, this stuff is especially great during spring/summer months since I wear sandals and flats more. My feet tend to get overly dry around the cuticle area and the ball of my feet so I throw this stuff on nightly. Makes a big difference. If you want to go crazy, after applying this put on some socks to lock in that moisture.

PS - I'm trying this new mobile blogging thing, hopefully this increases my blogging

Bumble and Bumble Straight

My current hair obsession.

Ages ago I tried my first Bumble product, pretty much found it subpar. Years later I tried the Does it All Spray, liked it but found the scent to be too strong. That's really my issue with Bumble products, their good but never spot on. Until now.

After reading a raving review on this Bumble line, I decided to put aside my past qualms and give this brand another try. Boy am I glad I did.

The shampoo and conditioner are money - the best. Really like the consistency, lathers nicely and does not leave residue on your hair. Smells amazing. While typically I don't use conditioner, with this shampoo you have to or else it leaves your hair a tad too dry.

I also apply this Blow Dry on damp hair and it goes on nicely - absorbs quickly and not greasy at all. It pairs perfectly with my current Kerastase leave in conditioner. You can probably use the blow dry alone but, I've been using Kerastase for years not sure if I can part with it. A little goes a long way so don't go crazy.

When it comes to hair products, I am super picky. I always rotate shampoos, heard its bad to use one shampoo consistently so I am always on the lookout for new ones. After trying this line from Bumble, I will surely keep it in my hair rotation. Slightly pricey for shampoo & conditioner but I managed to stock up on during the latest Sephora sale.

If you want to try your own, visit a Sephora near you and ask for a sample.

Rebecca Minkoff Lovin'

I am excited to share that I have finally made my very first Rebecca Minkoff purchase! This is both exciting and shocking to me, I have always found Rebecca Minkoff to be one of the more affordable higher-end brands and they typically have such cute stuff so why have I never owned anything from them before?!?! Well as the saying goes, better late than never...

I featured these Rebecca Minkoff Bardot Sandals on my Spring Sandals Post and when I saw this color I knew I had to get them (<3 anything mint colored!). And as an added bonus I got 20% off with the Bloomingdales Friends and Family discount, it was the perfect excuse to make the splurge. FYI, typically I would not spend this much on one pair of sandals since I usually don't wear sandals for more than a year but, I feel the color/style/comfort of these sandals made it all worthwhile so I treated myself :)

I just checked the Bloomies site and unfortunately these sandals are all sold out, they only have the Rose Gold color in one size left. I would recommend looking in-store if you are interested in purchasing your own.

I also saw this little coin pouch while I was browsing and I could not resist. How cute is this? I have been really into orange lately and the logo which you probably cannot see in this photo because the lighting is awful says "my diet starts tomorrow". I was thoroughly amused by this wallet so it came home with me. I figured I could use it for receipts, coupons or frequent shopper cards...hopefully it will help take some stress out of my bulky wallet.

Did you guys make any good finds from the latest Bloomies sale?

After the not so terrible winter we had in NY this year, I am more than happy to welcome spring into my life. And what says spring more than sandals :) Below are some of the sandals I have been loving. As you may be able to tell I am really feeling the neons and color-blocking this year.

1. Maison Martin Margiela - Leather Belt Detail Sandals $495

2. Maison Martin Margiela - Washed Leather Sandals $395

3. Diane Von Furstenberg - Pink Banded Klee Sandals $200. See similar from Splendid, not spot on cheaper

4. Sam Edelman - Gigi Sandals $65. Shop Now through 4/1 and get 20% off from Bloomingdales, use code "FANDF" or "FRIENDS"

7. Belle Sigerson Morrison - Randy Sandals $175

8. Shoe Mint - Bridget Sandals $79.98. Heard about this website a few times and decided to sign-up and take my style quiz. I got matched to these Bridget sandals and I really did like them, I do wish the metallic straps were black though - that would have made me instantly purchase them. If you're interested, I was browsing Song of Style's blog and she listed a discount code, save 10% on Shoe Mint purchases through April using code "Song10".

9. Belle Sigerson Morrison - Randy Sandals $175

10. Rebecca Minkoff - Bardot Colorbock Flats $275

11. 3.1 Phillip Lim Sandals - Red Sidibe Flat Sandals $375

What are some sandals you guys have been loving?

Julep Maven Loving <3

I must admit when the whole "beauty subscription" fad first came into play I was ecstatic. Think about it, a box shows up on your doorstep monthly, filled with tons of beauty goodies for you to try for only $10-$20 - simply said, the idea is golden! Hence why I jumped on the Birchbox band wagon instantly.

Three boxes later...I jumped off.

Now, this post isn't a bashing of Birchbox, I'm sure lots of people love there service but I am not one of them. I still think the subscription concept is golden but, the follow through is lacking. I don't feel that Birchbox captures there subscriber in each box. In all three boxes I received I don't think I enjoyed one product..sad but true. When it comes down to it, I think its a hard concept to package - with so many beauty choices out there, it's hard to create the box that will appeal specifically to an individual in a world with so many skin types/colors/tones etc. With that said, Birchbox was not my cup of tea.

I will say I was a little disheartened with the whole subscription service after Birchbox but, I am SO glad I decided to give Julep Maven a try. I've been hooked since my first box two months ago. Very similar to other services, initially you take a mini quiz to help Julep determine what box is best for you. A lot of it are questions based on what celebrity you identify with most (they show you pictures). I am classified as "Boho Glam" and I must say they have been on the MONEY the last 2 months, I have used every product in BOTH boxes. I love and I highly recommend everyone else gives it a try if you love nails.

Also, I must admit that I loved the box so much that I just signed up for a second subscription for "Classic with a Twist" box as well! On the julep website they show images of previous month's boxes and I loved every color from the Classic so I decided I needed it...(I really do need some self-control)

Try Your First Month for Only $0.01

Not sure how long this coupon code is good for but try your first month for only $0.01 using coupon code "COLOR2012", that's what I did :) Every month afterwards is $19.99.

Now no more rambling, PICTURE TIME!

FEBRUARY BOX

Top to Bottom: Cuticle Oil, Oscar Nail Polish, Marisa Nail Polish

MARCH BOX

Left to Right: Portia Nail Polish, Alicia Nail Polish, Argan Oil

If you are interested in signing up, click on my referral link

This is NOT a sponsored post but, I do get a free box for every 2 people who sign-up via my link.

Lastly, I wanted to show you guys my latest nail color with a cameo from Oscar Nail Color (see above). I wasn't going to use this pic due to my lack of utilizing cuticle oil before this picture but, I decided to bare all - dry cuticles & all.
